Harry Clark, the winner of The Traitors, was dramatically kicked off Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins after being caught lying about completing a fitness exercise. The 24-year-old was confronted by instructors for his dishonesty and forced to admit his deception in front of fellow contestants, as the Metro reports.
During a burpees challenge, Harry was required to complete 20 repetitions but only managed to do approximately half. When footage was reviewed, instructors Billy Billingham and Jason Fox, known as Foxy, discovered his deception and challenged him directly about cutting corners, the Mirror confirmed.
Dramatic confrontation unfolds
Chief Instructor Billy Billingham declared that Harry's "integrity and honesty stinks to a point of it being unacceptable" during the episode. Foxy made Harry watch the footage himself and count out the burpees he had actually completed, as the Metro reports.
When Harry claimed he stopped early because he was "slow and letting his team down," Foxy became enraged and slammed the table. The instructor confronted him: "Are you trying to pull the wool over my eyes? I asked you to do 20. You've just sat there as an ex-military man and spoken about honesty, integrity and how you do your best and don't cut corners. Do you think I'm an idiot," before ordering Harry to hand in his armband.
Ironic twist highlights reality TV differences
The incident created a striking irony, as the deception skills that made Harry successful on The Traitors directly led to his downfall on Celebrity SAS, the Mirror confirmed. Viewers quickly picked up on this contrast, with one posting: "Ironic, the very skill that won Harry the whole game on The Traitors was his entire downfall on SAS."
Harry responded to his elimination with apparent humour, posting a video on Instagram practising burpees with the caption: "Practicing my burpees because apparently I can't do them." The former British Army engineer had won £95,150 on The Traitors just months before filming Celebrity SAS, as the Metro reports.
Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins continues Sunday at 9pm on Channel 4. The show features 14 famous faces including Hannah Spearritt, Lucy Spraggan, and Love Island stars Tasha Ghouri and Chloe Burrows being put through authentic military training standards.
