Liam Gallagher will skip his brother Noel's star-studded celebration party after Oasis completes their final UK reunion show at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. The 52-year-old frontman is prioritising voice preservation ahead of the band's upcoming international dates, choosing a quiet dinner with fiancée Debbie Gwyther over festivities with A-list celebrities.

Noel Gallagher had planned a massive celebrity bash to mark the end of their UK tour leg. The guest list reportedly includes Lady Gaga, Kate Moss, Johnny Depp and Matthew McConaughey, along with the Gallagher children Anais, Lennon and Gene.

Professional dedication over celebration

Liam's decision stems from concerns about protecting his vocal cords before Oasis's next performance in South Korea on October 21. The tour continues with dates across Japan, Australia and South America following their UK conclusion.

During Saturday's Wembley performance, Liam hinted at the band's future plans. He told fans: "Thank you for keeping the faith. See you next year." The brothers opened Saturday's show hand-in-hand, performing hits including "Hello," "Some Might Say" and "Wonderwall."

Massive tour success

The reunion tour has generated £400 million in ticket sales, with both brothers reportedly earning £50 million each. Demand was extraordinary, with 14 million people seeking tickets compared to 2.5 million for the original Knebworth concerts in 1996.

The brothers reunited after a 16-year split following their dramatic backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris in 2009. Their reconciliation has exceeded fan expectations, with no major incidents reported throughout the tour.

Return to roots

Sunday's Wembley performance marks the final opportunity for UK fans to see the reformed band before they head overseas. The group has been tipped for a potential return to Knebworth, site of their legendary 1996 performances that drew 250,000 people.

The tour announcement in August 2024 created unprecedented demand, with more than two per cent of the UK's population applying for tickets. The band's return to home turf follows successful shows in Ireland, Canada, the United States and Mexico.
