Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died following a reported argument in Worcestershire. The arrests include a 17-year-old boy and a 25-year-old man.
Officers were called to Belle Vue Terrace in Malvern at around 12.45am on Saturday following reports of an altercation, West Mercia Police said. A 52-year-old man was found unconscious at the scene.
Man pronounced dead at hospital
The victim was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital but was pronounced dead despite medical efforts. The 25-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of murder.
The teenage boy faces arrest on suspicion of both murder and assault, police confirmed. Both suspects remain in custody as the investigation continues.
Police reassure local community
Detective Chief Inspector Lee Holehouse said the force's thoughts were with the victim's family. He described the incident as isolated and confirmed two arrests had been made.
"This incident will no doubt concern the local community, and we can say that this is an isolated incident," Holehouse said. Officers will maintain a visible presence at the scene over the coming days.
Appeal for witness information
Police have appealed for anyone with information about the incident to come forward. Holehouse specifically requested phone footage, dashcam recordings, doorbell camera footage or CCTV from around the time of the altercation.
An increased police presence will remain in the area as the murder investigation progresses. The force continues to gather evidence from the scene on Belle Vue Terrace.
