Meghan Markle has announced the second season of her Netflix lifestyle show "With Love, Meghan" will premiere on August 26. The Duchess of Sussex, 44, released the trailer on Tuesday, showing her cooking and baking with celebrity friends.

She posted the trailer on Instagram, writing: "The best moments are made to be shared. With Love, Meghan returns August 26th on @netflix." In the footage, Meghan can be heard saying: "I love the idea of just spending time together... and finding new ways to show people you care."

Season one struggles

The announcement comes despite challenging performance metrics for the show's first season. According to Daily Mail, season one received a 3.2 out of 10 rating on IMDB and 38% on Rotten Tomatoes, failing to break Netflix's top 300 shows.

PR expert Mark Borkowski described the Sussexes' new Netflix arrangement as a significant "downgrade" from their original $100 million contract, Daily Mail reports. The couple has signed a new multi-year "first look" deal with the streaming platform.

Brand expansion strategy

The show's return coincides with Meghan's As Ever brand expansion into new product categories as part of the Netflix partnership. When As Ever products launched in March 2025, they sold out in under an hour, according to Express.

A Christmas special episode is also scheduled for December 2025. This could potentially clash with Princess Kate's annual "Together at Christmas" carol service, creating an interesting scheduling dynamic within royal family programming.

Business restructuring

The new Netflix deal represents a restructuring of the Sussexes' original streaming agreement. Season one launched in March 2025 alongside the As Ever brand, with filming taking place at a rented house near Montecito for privacy reasons.

The show focuses on lifestyle content including cooking, entertaining, and home design, aligning with Meghan's broader brand strategy beyond royal duties.
