Prestigious training scholarship in Lublin for an ophthalmologist from Ukraine

The Department of General and Pediatric Ophthalmology at the Medical University of Lublin is organizing a series of training courses for ophthalmologists from Ukraine. Currently, training is being conducted in vitrectomy, a microsurgical procedure aimed at removing pathological lesions from the retina and vitreous body. The specialized course for Ukrainian doctors is supported by the Association of Ophthalmic Surgeons of Poland and the pharmaceutical industry. Training will be repeated periodically.

The recipient of the prestigious grant is Dr. Olga Denysiuk from Kiev. – I would like to thank Professor Robert Rejdak and the Polish Society of Ophthalmic Surgeons for this opportunity to study in Lublin with this prestigious fellowship on vitreoretinal surgical training . This is an example of support and collaboration between two universities of Medical University of Lublin and the Shupyk National University of Healthcare Of Ukraine, which provides an opportunity to learn and improve your qualification.

The possibility to practice different surgical techniques and procedures on a special virtual simulation gives incredible insight, and gives a young surgeon to work and train before the actual surgery. Assisting on different surgeries of course is the most important and effective way to become a vitreoretinal surgeon. We are planning projects together educational as as scientific research which will make this collaboration stronger and give an opportunity to grow as surgeon.
