Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell and YouTuber Joe Sugg have announced they are expecting their first baby together. The couple revealed they are having a baby boy through a creative Instagram video posted on Sunday.

The announcement featured the pair painting a stick figure family artwork on canvas, set to Elton John's "Tiny Dancer". Their sweet drawing showed them holding hands with a little person and was titled "2026", indicating when their son is expected to arrive.

Strictly love story origins

Dianne, 36, and Joe, 34, met during the 2018 series of Strictly Come Dancing when Joe became the first YouTuber to compete on the show. They finished as runners-up to Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton, who are also in a relationship.

The couple confirmed their romance after the show's finale with Joe writing on social media: "I may not have won the glitter ball, but I've won something a million times more special." They have been together for six years since then.

Continued commitments

According to the Liverpool Echo, Dianne continues participating in the current 2025 series of Strictly Come Dancing despite the pregnancy announcement. She has previously expressed her desire to start a family with Joe, saying: "I'd love to have a family one day, and I know Joe would love a family too."

Metro reports the couple has established themselves in an impressive lifestyle, living in a £3.5million five-bedroom property featuring six reception rooms, a fully-equipped gym, cinema room, and sprawling garden.

Celebrity support

Dianne's former relationship with soap star Anthony Quinlan ended shortly before she went public with Joe. Metro reports that Anthony publicly supported the new relationship and denied the "Strictly curse" was involved in their breakup, saying: "I'm actually rooting for Joe and Dianne. They're doing absolutely amazing in Strictly and I still think the world of the girl."
