Talks aimed at resolving the London Underground dispute were held on Wednesday and will resume on Friday. The discussions follow last week's strikes by Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) members that paralysed Tube services across the capital.
The union walkout caused travel chaos for millions of passengers throughout London's transport network. The RMT is seeking a reduction in the current 35-hour working week for its members.
Focus on fatigue management
Transport for London confirmed that Wednesday's discussions centred on helping staff manage fatigue. A TfL spokesperson said: "We met with the RMT today and discussed the ways we can further help our colleagues manage fatigue."
The spokesperson added: "We invited the RMT to meet with us again on Friday and look forward to continuing our discussions." Both sides appear committed to finding a resolution through continued dialogue.
