A woman who died following an incident at her home in Swindon has been named as Sarah Forrester. The 55-year-old mental health charity worker was found dead on Friday evening after police responded to reports of disorder at a property in Baydon Close, Moredon. A 13-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
Wiltshire Police said officers found Forrester not breathing when they arrived at the mid-terrace property. She was declared dead at the scene. The force confirmed there is no wider risk to the public and they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
Tributes to devoted mother
Forrester worked for The Kelly Foundation, a mental health charity in Swindon. The organization said it was «heartbroken at the sudden loss of our lovely Sarah». In a statement, the charity described her as someone who «was completely committed to the charity and devoted to her two young children».
The Kelly Foundation added: «Sarah was an incredible person, kind, thoughtful, considerate, caring and funny and she embodied everything that we hope our charity is and can be.» The charity said it would make no further comment out of respect for her family.
Kerry Marsh, Forrester's neighbor and friend of seven years, told Sky News: «Sarah was a good friend of mine. She was a kind soul who would help anyone.» She added: «She was a great mum and did so much with her children, and I was lucky enough to class her as a friend.»
Investigation continues
Detective Chief Superintendent Guy Elkins said: «Our thoughts are with Sarah's friends and family at this awful time.» He confirmed an investigation is being led by the major crime investigation team with increased policing activity remaining in the area.
Police have urged people not to speculate on the incident. Detective Inspector Darren Ambrose said: «We would encourage people not to speculate on the circumstances around this incident.» Officers encouraged anyone with concerns to contact their local neighborhood policing team.
