Documents released by Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee show Prince Andrew as a passenger on Jeffrey Epstein's private jet. The Duke of York is listed alongside Epstein and his then-girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell on a flight from Teterboro, New Jersey, to Palm Beach, Florida on 12th May 2000.
Two other names on the passenger list have been redacted from the documents. Previous court testimony during Maxwell's trial revealed similar details about the Duke's travel with Epstein, with one of Maxwell's accusers, who was 14 at the time, recalling travelling on a flight with Andrew.
The Duke strenuously denies any wrongdoing regarding his association with the convicted sex offender.
Musk linked to island visit
Elon Musk appears on what seems to be Epstein's daily schedule for 6th December 2014, six years after Epstein became a registered sex offender. The entry reads: "Reminder: Elon Musk to island Dec.6 (is this still happening?)"
In June, the X owner indicated President Donald Trump should be impeached and claimed his administration was concealing information about Trump's association with Epstein. He later appeared to have deleted posts about the sex offender.
Duchess of York correspondence emerges
The document release comes days after an email surfaced from Sarah, Duchess of York, to Epstein in which she apologised for disowning him in the media. In the message, she also labelled the sex offender as a "supreme friend".
Her spokesman said the email was written because Epstein had threatened to sue her for defamation. The surfacing of the correspondence led several charities to drop the Duchess as a patron.
Epstein was found dead in his cell at a federal jail in Manhattan in August 2019 while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges. The death was ruled a suicide.
