Mike Brewer, the 60-year-old Wheeler Dealers star, has revealed the one car he consistently returns to despite encountering hundreds of vehicles throughout his television career. The former Channel 4 Driven presenter has identified the Porsche 911 as his ultimate favourite among all automotive options.

The German manufacturer's flagship sports car has maintained its status since 1963, with current models commanding £103,000 when purchased new. Brewer appreciates the 911's unique position in the automotive market for its exceptional daily usability compared to other high-performance vehicles.

Practical supercar choice

"I'm a Porsche fan and I have a new 911. I think they're amazing cars and I love them. There's so many good new cars out there like the BMW M2 and M4 and Audi A4 and A5 but I will always go back to the Porsche," Brewer explained.

The television personality highlighted the 911's accessibility compared to more exotic alternatives. "It's a really amazing supercar that you can use on a daily basis. You can use them in a way that you can't in a Ferrari or Lamborghini," he noted.

"They are as common as a Volkswagen Beetle, not difficult to drive, and they have respect. People don't let you out in a Ferrari because of jealousy," he added, emphasising the practical advantages of Porsche ownership.

Singer variant obsession

Brewer has expressed particular fascination with Porsche Singer variants, escalating his desire dramatically over time. Speaking on the Talkin' Shop podcast, he made his extreme dedication clear with characteristic humour.

"I have publicly said, and I've written it down in my own publication, that I know Robert Singer and I've been to the Singer factory, I would gladly give my left nut for a Singer. In fact, I would change that now and they can have both of them for a Singer because I don't think I'd use them anymore," he confessed.

He described a mesmerising encounter with his dream car at Monterey car week. "I walked to Monterey car week and stood in front of that car, the doors were open on a plinth and my wife will tell you that I stood and stared at the car for two hours, I was mesmerised by it," Brewer revealed about a white Singer model with tan interior.

Career gamble revealed

The automotive expert has launched a new television programme, Born Dealer, offering viewers unprecedented access to his personal life with wife Michelle and daughter Chloe. The show documents Brewer's biggest financial risk yet - investing his entire pension pot into a new car dealership venture, One Automotive.

"It is a chance to look into the bonnet and see the real Mike Brewer. On this show I would wake up and there was a camera crew following you. I thought 'I'm not going to hold back' and it shows both the highs and lows," he explained. The programme captures both triumphant moments and challenging setbacks as cameras follow his daily activities.

Mike Brewer: Born Dealer airs Mondays on discovery+ and Quest.
