Paddy McGuinness celebrated his 52nd birthday with a "glorious" five-day family holiday to Spain alongside ex-wife Christine and their three children. The former Top Gear presenter shared Instagram photos from the trip on Friday, including shots of himself topless and posing with airport staff.
The couple, who married in 2011 and separated in 2022 after over a decade together, continue to co-parent their three children - twins Leo and Penelope, and younger daughter Felicity. Paddy turned 52 on Thursday and documented the family celebration on social media.
Birthday celebration details
Paddy thanked Manchester Airport staff in his Instagram post, writing: "Just got back from a glorious five days in the sunshine. My kids made birthday gifts, we had lots of lovely food, drink and a tan that would made @jamie.redknapp proud!"
He continued: "Met some wonderful families at @zafirohotels and had a belting, relaxed time. Big shout out to the mighty @manairportuk, in particular Samantha Richardson and Jane McBride. Two wonderful ladies who made a last minute check in stress free. They put all our kids at ease."
Christine's new chapter
Christine is currently appearing on Celebs Go Dating on E4, exploring new relationships after their marriage ended. She opened up about moving forward from being known as "Paddy's wife" during the show's season premiere.
"I feel like I'm a couple of steps away from being my new self and not 'Paddy's wife'. I'm coming out of the transition part," Christine said. She added: "I am single and I absolutely do love women. I'd love to explore that more and I definitely see that's where I'm more comfortable."
Reflecting on their relationship
Christine spoke candidly about their marriage ending, saying: "I'll always love him as the father of my children, I think he'll be the only man I'll ever love. A lot of people make mistakes and mess up, when you are a couple who is quite well-known in the industry then obviously everyone knows your business."
She described the decision to end their marriage as incredibly difficult: "In some ways, I still carry that feeling of it's my fault because I ended it. We had an amazing 15 years, we really did. The last couple of years, I think things weren't quite the same. I think once the respect isn't quite there any more, it's time to leave. It was the hardest decision I've ever made in my life and it forever will be."
