Podziękowania ks. Ivana Dziuby na forum OBWE w Warszawie – “Współpraca ekumeniczna w służbie uchodźcom”
Z euforią dzielimy się z Wami szczególnym wyrazem uznania, jakie przypadło Jezuickiej Służbie Uchodźcom wyrażonym przez ks. Ivana Dziubę, prawosławnego kapelana Ukraińskiego Kościoła Prawosławnego. Podczas tegorocznego spotkania OBWE w Warszawie (6-18 października 2025 r.), poświęconego wolności religijnej i godności ludzkiej, ks. Ivan wyraźnie wymienił JRS Polska jako organizację, która wniosła istotny wkład we współpracę między Kościołem katolickim a prawosławnym w kontekście pomocy ukraińskim uchodźcom.
Ks. Ivan od lat współpracuje z naszym Biurem JRS w Poznaniu, gdzie wspólnie służymy Ukraińcom zmuszonym do opuszczenia swojej ojczyzny z powodu wojny. Jego słowa przypominają nam, iż nasze posłannictwo wykracza poza granice wyznaniowe – łączy nas wspólne dążenie do ochrony godności każdego człowieka i troska o tych, którzy znaleźli się w potrzebie.
Poniżej przedstawiamy pełne przemówienie ks. Ivana, w którym dziękuje wszystkim, którzy wspierają ukraińskich uchodźców w zachowaniu ich praw, tożsamości religijnej i kulturowej:

Dear participants of this honourable gathering!
Valuing freedom of belief and human dignity, as well as the human right to self-expression, Ukrainian society has established tolerant approaches of collaboration between all religious organisations and denominations, which are represented within legal system of Ukraine. One example of productive cooperation is the unique Congress – the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organisations, which serves as the voice of all religious communities, clearly condemning any aggression, intolerance or prejudice and promoting religious reconciliation.
The Orthodox Church of Ukraine, of which I am a priest, is actively involved in the humanitarian and moral aspects of the advancement of the Ukrainian people.
Our priority tasks are: to preserve the unity of Ukrainian society in times of military threat and disinformation attacks; to serve as chaplains in the Armed Forces of Ukraine; to provide spiritual care for Ukrainian emigrants abroad within the framework of the Chaplaincy Mission.
The chaplaincy service for Ukrainian emigrants has also opened up new horizons for ecumenical dialogue, exactly with the Catholic Church. The Jesuit Refugee Service organisation has made an authoritative contribution to such cooperation between Catholic and Orthodox Churches.
Due to circumstances beyond their control, millions of Ukrainian citizens have become refugees in many countries around the world. Their social, religious and cultural needs have been challenged by uncertainty and a new beginning. Thanks to the support of deferent states, countries and societies throughout the civilised world, it has become possible to ensure the rights and freedoms of Ukrainian migrants in a human dimension.
